Developing Knowledge and Professional Skills on New Plant Breeding Tools (NPBTs) and Seed Build-Up Techniques for Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security for Rural Development

The SUCSEED project aims to address the challenges of climate change and food security by enhancing the technical and practical knowledge of Vocational Education and Training (VET) institutions. By focusing on New-Digital Plant Breeding Tools (NPBTs), the project seeks to align agricultural VETs with the evolving needs of the seed sector and promote the use of sustainable, certified seed materials.

About Us

SUCSEED | Developing knowledge and professional skills on New Plant Breeding Tools (NBTSs) and seed build-up techniques for sustainable agriculture and food security for rural development.

The project equips VET providers with new and digital plant breeding methods used to create certified seed and respond to climate and food security challenges. Raising awareness and skills in the VET ecosystem is critical, because VETs are a powerful lever to support farmers — the backbone of Europe's agriculture.

Through collaborative outputs and hands-on activities, SUCSEED strengthens technical and practical capacity, while promoting climate awareness, food security and biotechnological-digital approaches that can be adopted across different regions.
